I was always hoping to get a huntsman family into our houses so they'd lay like 20 eggs and freak the girls out. Never got that lucky though. Just had loads of wolf spiders and a few redbacks. Tons of cockroaches though, which the huntsmen would have loved!

Oh, and there was that time in Sydney I caught a funnel web (after it lunged at me twice!) only to find out months later what it actually was!

I thought the Black widow was the most venomous.

"The spider-bites documented as the most dangerous to humans are those of the Sydney funnel-web spider and the Brazilian wandering spider. These spiders are potentially more dangerous than widow spiders because they have longer fangs and can inject greater quantities of venom to greater depths."

Dammit, Black Widow more poisonous but cannot deliver enough venom to thick human skin.

I though the redback was the Aussie version of the black widow? Look at a picture of a black widow and the only difference is it has a red cross on its arse, instead of a red line, like the red back.
