According to reports, auditions have already begun to find two 'Robbies' to play the Stoke singer, with the project being backed by Old Vic owner Sally Greene, who also has a share in the ‘Billy Elliot' musical.
Williams is on board too, having given permission for his music to be used in the show.
"Robbie is bang up for the musical and thinks it will be a fun production," said a source.
