Google Glass - augmented reality glasses

I saw an article on this today.

Google are currently working on augmented reality glasses that a person can wear, that allow for users to access maps, video calls, appointments and messages via the eyepiece. They look a bit like Geordie LaForge glasses, but a little cooler, and apparently they'll be coming in different styles.

I dunno exactly how they'll work, with regards to needing a constant high speed internet connection. I would imagine Google are hoping that there will be free global public wifi in the next 5 years!
